The youth group of the new EAA (European Acoustics Association) Technical Committee on Acoustic Materials, the YAN (Young Acoustician Network) and the YRAM (Young Researchers in Acoustic Metamaterials) organized a joint event for young researchers (masters/PhD/post-docs) on the topic of acoustic materials on Monday, May 10, 2021.
The program included 6 accessible lectures to grasp different aspects of the topic:
-
Introduction to porous materials - Fabien Chevillotte (Matelys)
-
Current (and future) trends in acoustic materials - Bart Van Damme (Empa)
-
From granular media to magneto granular crystals - Georgios Theocharis (LAUM)
-
Viscoelasticity in porous materials - Lucie Rouleau (CNAM)
-
Bio-based acoustic materials for building applications - Clément Piégay (CEREMA)
-
Biomedical ultrasound applications of acoustics holograms - Noé Jimenez (I3M, UPV)
